Rome exposes the world's largest bronze, made at the Disciples of the Divine Master

The 14 stations of the Way of the Cross , represented by 49 statues and 11 crosses nearly two meters high, cast in bronze with the system lost wax process. It is the original version that will be seen next Sunday, March 13 until April 29 in Rome, Via della Conciliazione.

The work, described as the world's largest calvary, was commissioned by the city of Coquimbo in Chile, where he will return to Rome after exposure. Created by sculptors and Joseph Pasquale Nava Allamprese, required 20 tons of bronze and five years in the making.

The passion play is traditional in style and respect as much as possible the description of the Passion Gospels.

At present the great contemporary sacred art installation today were, among others, Cardinal. Velasio De Paolis, president of the Prefecture Economic Affairs of the Holy See, and the Superintendent of Cultural Heritage of the City of Rome, Umberto Broccoli, in an initiative organized in the press room of Vatican Radio.

The bronze statues that make up the "Way of the Cross "were made by the Domus Dei, owned by the Congregation of the Disciples of the Divine Master .
